Piazza del Duomo or "dei miracoli" with its famous Leaning Tower, one of the seven wonders of the world, is not the only destination of this trip, TuscanyCar will accompany you for a tour of the historic buildings of Pisa:
Piazza dei Cavalieri, wide and irregular square around which there are many artistically important buildings.

The most imposing and important is the Palazzo dei Cavalieri which today houses the Scuola Normale di Pisa, built by Vasari in the 16th century. Here you can see the Clock Palace, the Fountain and the Statue of Cosimo I dei Medici who founded the Order of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri in 1562. The tour continues to Lucca with a visit to the Cathedral of San Martino and to the particular Market Square. The elliptical shape of the square corresponds, to a large extent, to the area of the ancient arena.
